Friday, Then They Came for James Comey.

To America,

News of Former FBI Director James Comey being indicted through a DOJ sham trial is no news to any history or conflict intellectual who already held the blueprints to authoritarian hijacking of the rule of law inside our minds and research telling.

The greatest hurdle for Americans to overcome is the realization that while greatness should be our goal, we are not great. We are not immune from the dangers that have destabilized countless Republics — nor is our system impenetrable to being accessorized for a complete takeover of the American agencies and branches; to terrorize the American people and our allies.

Like the Titanic, we think we will overcome by doing nothing different. James Comey published a powerful response to the indictment. None of which I will bore you with as today, it’s easily accessible, as will it be tomorrow. But what remained was his continued gullible belief in the federal courts. Almost as naive as when Alexander Hamilton told his son Phillip to make the moral decision during his fatal duel in 1801. To believe in the goodness of his opponent.

A notion Maryland Congressman Jaimie Raskin romanticized in his book “Unthinkable”. A good faith that the system and those entrusted with it will work. No need to clarify the Constitution, legislation, or authority. Americans were simply incapable of becoming tyrannical. It was a foreign problem.

Americans just loved the United States Constitution way too much to willfully harm it. Such naivety is what got us here. Under authoritarianism, this is nothing more than wishful thinking. The assumption that bad faith is incapable of being born inside the United States of America — is why it’s taken Democratic lawmakers over 8-months to admit to a Constitutional Crisis.

Hiding behind the belief that unless they say it out loud, they won’t be expected to face the consequences of tyrannical rule, by needing to oppose it. They can continue to pretend like there is no cold civil war in Ba Sing Se. After all, the American people cannot expect Democratic lawmakers to serve as warriors for the people when they were merely elected to make and pass laws. Not to try to disrupt it or to oppose the elected government based on political disagreement.

So many have failed to vocalize the seriousness of the present time. Due to their own comfort, and distance from the worse of Trump policy consequences, they shelter in lawmaking to rid themselves of criticism.

They vote against political violence by passing the Charlie Kirk Remembrance Resolution and ironically, this merely credits the political violence he spread as worthy narratives that pushed emotions that led to the Texas shooting that targeted 3 immigrant detainees at a ICE facility in Texas, before shooting himself.

Bipartisanship with tyranny is to endorse it. Not shutting down the government to rectify federal power imbalance is to bail Donald Trump out. It is to condone Constitutional harm and to fund its prolonged collapse.

America’s highest courts are compromised. When one Court fails Donald Trump — a higher Court upholds him. If the Supreme Court’s Conservative Majority is willing to silence Constitutional provisions like due process for immigrants, birthright citizenship for U.S. born children, and the Equal Protection Clause for Latino Citizens — if they are already collapsing what is fundamental, then how is it that they can be expected to be in obedience with settled law? Who is above the Courts?

The Constitution, but the Constitution doesn’t have a voice to force the Courts against rewriting fundamental laws that would otherwise require Constitutional amendments to change.

It doesn’t have a voice but you, me, and all Americans do.

Just like South Korea did.

Just like Indonesia did.

Just like we did after Jimmy Kimmel was removed and just like Californians are doing when they Vote Yes on Prop 50 this November 4, 2025; leveraging itself temporarily to defend against Red State thievery of Democrat seats — to guarantee MAGA control beyond 2026.

You must vote not for what’s moral or ethical but for what protects the Constitutional health against all enemies both foreign and domestic. Both of the federal and of the State Constitutions.

Otherwise, like Phillip Hamilton in 1801, the moral decision for Californians on November 4, 2025 will only accelerate our Constitutional perish and California’s consent to a MAGA policy takeover of its State under “the federal is above the state”.

Protect your State. Protect the Country. Vote for Democracy. Act for Democracy.

Vote for country, not for you.

Because America’s savior isn’t inside the U.S. government, America’s savior is you at the ballot, you in streets, you fearfully but courageously passively resisting, disrupting, and dissenting until the very end.

You. Me. And every American after us fighting for Liberty and Justice for all.

In We The People I trust. In no one else.
